Finally, after all these seasons, coach Christina Aguilera has a champion on The Voice: Alisan Porter.
Aguilera, who is an original coach of the NBC singing competition, turned her chair around when Porter, a former child actress, sang Linda Ronstadt’s Blue Bayou during the blind auditions of the show.
Porter, who had the title role in the John Hughes’ 1991 movie, Curly Sue, had left the lights and stage of Hollywood and Broadway years before her Voice audition to spend time with family. The former actress shared her story about drug addiction and how she has been sober for eight years.
